Conversation in a calm office setting

First Conversation

A single ninety-minute meeting — at our George Town office or by video call — in which we listen to the practical situation and produce a written one-page map of the concrete tasks ahead. Nothing is decided in the meeting.

Organised documents and folders

Documents & Records Package

Six weeks of practical clerical support: sorting, scanning, building a labelled index, arranging accredited translation, preparing attested copies and assembling a complete folder for each adult in the household.

Extended family coordination meeting

Extended Family Coordination

An eight-month programme for larger households — including cases where grandparents or relatives in other states are involved. Monthly facilitated conversations, a shared practical calendar, complete document archive and quarterly written reviews.

We do not advise on rights, represent families before any authority, or make decisions on anyone's behalf. What we do is take the administrative weight off your shoulders so you can focus on what matters.

Clear scope, always

Every service has a written scope. When something falls outside it — legal interpretation, for example — we say so clearly and suggest the appropriate professional.

Four languages

Sessions and documents can be handled in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil, so families do not have to translate across generations or between siblings.

Records stay with you

Everything we produce belongs to the family and is handed over in both printed and encrypted digital form. A written custody note records who holds which original.

Before a first meeting, families can read the exact questions a facilitator will ask. No surprises. You can decide in advance whether you are comfortable with the process.

Every facilitated conversation produces written minutes. Every first meeting ends with a one-page map of the tasks ahead, so there is something concrete to refer back to.

Meetings happen at our George Town office or by video, and extended programme sessions can include family members joining remotely from other states or overseas.

Questions families often ask

What exactly do you mean by "document organisation"?
We sort through the physical and digital documents a household has accumulated — identification documents, property records, financial statements, school records, correspondence — and create a labelled index for each adult. We scan at archival quality, arrange accredited translation where needed and prepare attested copies through the family's own commissioner of oaths. Everything is returned in printed and encrypted digital form.
Do you give legal or financial advice?
No. We are not lawyers, financial advisers or counsellors and we do not present ourselves as any of those. When a matter requires professional advice — on rights, entitlements, tax, property law or anything similar — we will tell you clearly that it falls outside our scope and suggest that you consult a professional of your own choosing.
What happens in the First Conversation meeting?
We listen to the practical situation — what the household is dealing with, what documents exist, what conversations need to happen. Then we write down the concrete tasks we have heard and separate them into three groups: tasks that are administrative (which we may be able to help with), tasks that are conversational (which facilitated meetings might assist), and tasks that sit with a professional adviser. You receive this as a written one-page map at the end of the session. Nothing is decided in the meeting.
Can family members join from another state or from overseas?
Yes. In the Extended Family Coordination Programme, remote family members — whether in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah or elsewhere — can join facilitated sessions by video call. The First Conversation and Documents Package can also be conducted by video if attending the George Town office in person is not practical.
How long does the Documents & Records Package take?
The package runs over six weeks. This allows time for sorting, scanning, arranging accredited translations for documents in other languages, and the two included review meetings. The actual time needed on your part is mainly at the start (handing over documents) and at each review meeting.
In which languages can sessions be conducted?
Sessions and documents can be handled in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil. In the Extended Family Coordination Programme this matters particularly, since grandparents and younger family members may communicate most comfortably in different languages.
Who keeps the original documents?
The family always holds the originals. We produce scanned copies and attested copies through the family's own commissioner of oaths, and we provide a written custody note recording which adult holds which original document. Everything we produce — printed folders and encrypted digital copies — is handed over to the family at the end of the work.
